Category overview

What this category covers

Parent migration includes permanent, temporary, contributory and non-contributory pathways. Some visas require sponsorship by an eligible child, the balance-of-family test, an Assurance of Support or other family and financial requirements.

Parent visa queues and processing arrangements vary substantially. The Sponsored Parent (Temporary) visa is a separate temporary option and does not itself provide a permanent pathway.
